Background

Tom Bonda, an attorney and marketing professional, is presently a Visiting Assistant Professor at John Carroll University, teaching in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Management. Tom has spent his professional business career working in the area of marketing and managing small businesses. Tom was co-founder of Sales/Bonda, a full service marketing and advertising agency that was one of the pioneers of special event marketing.

Courses

Creative Problem Solving; Introduction to Entrepreneurship; Entrepreneurial Marketing and Sales; Entrepreneurship Field Experience, the entrepreneurship minor capstone course; and, Global Management at the MBA level. Additional courses: entrepreneurship minor and MBA courses in marketing and new product development.

Research

Professor Bonda co-presented and co-authored a paper with Dr. Jackie Schmidt entitled “Teaching Accounting and Finance to Arts and Sciences Students” at the National Business and Economics Society. The paper was presented at the NBES annual conference, March 11 – 14, 2015 in the Republic of Panama.

Additional Information

Professor Bonda is a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Cancer Society Greater Cleveland Division, presently serving as chairperson of the Board, and served as the Northeast Ohio Chair of SmokeFreeOhio, the successful initiative that prohibits smoking in restaurants, public places and work environments. Tom earned a BS in Business from Arizona State University, a JD from Cleveland Marshall College of Law, completed the Executive Management Program at Indiana University Graduate School of Business and is admitted to the Ohio Bar.
