Graduate Assistantships and Financial Aid Information for Admissions at Boler College of Business

Graduate Assistantships

A limited number of graduate and athletic assistantships in both academic and non-academic departments are available at John Carroll University.  Graduate assistantships provide graduate students with the opportunity to improve their skills in teaching and/or research and to gain practical experience while pursuing a graduate degree.

Assistantships are awarded competitively and offer up to a full tuition waiver plus a stipend. In return, graduate/athletic assistants are ordinarily expected to work for a department or team 20 hours weekly for a full-time position or 10 hours weekly for a part-time position conducting research, teaching, or work related to the department/team. The term of the assistantship is one year and is normally renewed for a second year upon satisfactory performance, with the potential for a third year in certain programs.

Official scores on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) are required for certain for graduate assistantship and scholarship consideration. There is no code required for the GMAT. The GRE requires code 1342.
