Mr. Aveni has over three decades experience in the investment industry, including ten years as Chief Investment Officer of a $50 billion asset management firm.   Prior to becoming Chief Investment Officer, he was a successful value equity portfolio manager and research analyst.   

Mr. Aveni is a highly sought-after lecturer. He is currently Executive-in-Residence in the Department of Economics and Finance at the Boler College of Business at John Carroll University.  Previously Mr. Aveni has served as adjunct instructor in the Master of Management and UCAP Programs at Ursuline College and a lecturer at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.

A Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder, Mr. Aveni earned his Master of Business Administration from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio University.

Mr. Aveni’s other affiliations include being a member of the CFA Society of Cleveland, an eleven-year member of the board of the Cleveland Sight Center and chair of their investment committee, a member of the Investment Board for the Endowment Fund Rescue Village, Geauga Humane Society,  a volunteer with Economics America and a member of the investment committee for the Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland.
