Graduate Assistantships and Financial Aid Information for Admissions at Boler College of Business

Graduate Assistantships

A limited number of graduate and athletic assistantships in both academic and non-academic departments are available at John Carroll University. Graduate assistantships provide graduate students with the opportunity to improve their skills in teaching and/or research and to gain practical experience while pursuing a graduate degree.

Assistantships are awarded competitively and offer a tuition waiver up to 15 credit hours per year during fall and spring semesters plus a stipend. In return, graduate/athletic assistants are ordinarily expected to work for a department or team 20 hours weekly for a full-time position conducting research, teaching, or work related to the department/team. The term of the assistantship is one year and is normally renewed for a second year upon satisfactory performance, with the potential for a third year in certain programs.
