Background

My teaching interests are in the areas of financial management, corporate finance, investments, and international finance.  I strive to create an engaging classroom environment that develops students’
conceptual finance knowledge and familiarizes them with the application of the financial theory and models by using adequate exercises and industry scenarios.

My current research covers a broad range of topics on investment—stock market bubbles, mutual fund performance and pension fund risk.  I have presented or discussed at American Finance Association Annual Meetings, Financial Management Association Annual Meetings, Annual Conference on Financial Economics and Accounting, and Global Chinese Real Estate Congress.

I have a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Connecticut.  I hold a Master of Science in Finance degree from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor in Finance degree from Central South University.
