Global Business Culture and Entrepreneurship Program

Boler College of Business faculty and students have begun to expand the school’s reach — beyond its longstanding London immersion and other study abroad opportunities. They have launched a new venture, the Global Business Culture and Entrepreneurship Program, that will create a borderless business program on campus, and at international sites starting in India.

The program will convene faculty and students, from Boler College and partner schools, to grow joint entrepreneurship projects and greater cultural understanding.

Ohio to India

Boler has entered into academic partnerships with two Jesuit schools in India — Xavier University and Jaipur College — that funnel students and faculty to short-term exchange programs. Xavier University, located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, has a top-ranked management program.

International students have worked with Northeast Ohio businesses on global expansion plans, creating a chance for students to learn US business operations and culture, and for regional businesses to gain local insights from international students and faculty. Future plans call for a dual-MBA program offered jointly by Boler and its global partners.

“There is strong demand in India and other rapidly developing economies for the kind of broad business expertise — across all functional areas — offered at a school like Boler and John Carroll University. Our US students and faculty can benefit in the process, learning how to apply their entrepreneurial mindset in a global setting.”

Graduate Opportunities

Traveling abroad and diving into global engagement as a graduate student may not always be your first idea of a graduate experience. At Boler, graduate global opportunities are not only possible — they’re encouraged. Boler offers unique course trips itself, and the Jesuit MBA Network partners and international partner programs offer a variety of course trips as well. Most options are 10-day or two-week trips that you can take on vacation time. The London/Brussels program is offered every year during the winter break. Past graduate students have traveled to Thailand, Australia, China, Italy, and more.
